Ocean Alliance Med-USEC service details announced by carriers

Carriers participating in the OCEAN/THE Alliance have released joint statements with Med-USEC service details and port rotation on September 26 with implementation planned in December 2018.

Hapag-Lloyd, Yang Ming, One, COSCO, OOCL, CMA CGM, ZIM and APL are all participating in this VSA.

The move will combine THE Alliance’s AL6 service, running with five 5,500 TEU vessels and OAL’s TAT1 service, running with six 4,300-5,300 TEU vessels, and will employ six 8,500 TEU ships.
Port rotation: Genoa – La Spezia – Fos – Valencia – New York – Barcelona – Norfolk – Savannah – Miami – Algeciras

Hapag-Lloyd, Ocean Network Express, Yang Ming will also continue to offer Livorno via the redesigned ZIM-operated AL7 service as part of the continuing cooperation between THE Alliance and ZIM. Further to this Livorno coverage on the AL7, Hapag-Lloyd will continue its cooperation with ZIM Lines on this service within the Eastern Mediterranean Area.
The port rotation of the new AL7 service is expected to be: Mersin – Ashdod – Haifa – Aliaga (Izmir) – Piraeus – Livorno – Barcelona – Halifax – New York – Norfolk – Savannah – Valencia – Tarragona – Mersin
